Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Under the Bed) by Chitra Ganesh was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Indian Art auction at Christies in New York in March 2007. The price achieved of USD 1,800.00 (€ 1,345.90) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chitra Ganesh achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tales Of Amnesia in June 2013 with an auction result of GBP 27,500.00 (€ 32,097.43).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Under the Bed) von Chitra Ganesh wurde im März 2007 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Indian Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.800,00 (€ 1.345,90) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chitra Ganesh erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tales Of Amnesia im Juni 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 27.500,00 (€ 32.097,43).
