Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Study by Chintan Upadhyay was sold in the South Asian Art auction at Sothebys in New York in September 2010. The »bidding war« ended at USD 9,375.00 (€ 6,892.88), 17% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chintan Upadhyay achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Together For Life Whether We Like It Or Not in October 2008 with an auction result of HKD 1,100,000.00 (€ 111,890.87).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Study von Chintan Upadhyay wurde im September 2010 in der Auktion South Asian Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 9.375,00 (€ 6.892,88) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chintan Upadhyay erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Together For Life Whether We Like It Or Not im Oktober 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.100.000,00 (€ 111.890,87).
