Auction result misses estimated price range
In May 2017 a collector was able to acquire the work UNTITLED (ORANGE WITH BUTTERFLIES) by Chinatsu Ban for HKD 112,500.00 (€ 12,845.99). This price was achieved in the auction Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) at Christies in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 120,000.00 – 180,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Chinatsu Ban - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work My Favorite Things- Eighth Of Ten Brothers (Set Of Two), which sold at auction in October 2009 for HKD 475,000.00 (€ 41,528.30).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai 2017 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit UNTITLED (ORANGE WITH BUTTERFLIES) von Chinatsu Ban für HKD 112.500,00 (€ 12.845,99) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 120.000,00 – 180.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Chinatsu Ban mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit My Favorite Things- Eighth Of Ten Brothers (Set Of Two) beobachtet, die im Oktober 2009 für HKD 475.000,00 (€ 41.528,30) versteigert wurde.
