Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Chinatsu Ban could be acquired at Phillips in Hong Kong in November 2019 for an unexpectedly low price. In the 20th Century & Contemporary Art & Design Day Sale auction, the work Twin Mt. Fuji changed hands for HKD 4,375.00 (€ 507.42) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chinatsu Ban achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work My Favorite Things- Eighth Of Ten Brothers (Set Of Two) in October 2009 with an auction result of HKD 475,000.00 (€ 41,528.30).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Chinatsu Ban konnte im November 2019 bei Phillips in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art & Design Day Sale wechselte die Arbeit Twin Mt. Fuji für HKD 4.375,00 (€ 507,42) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 15.000,00 – 25.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chinatsu Ban erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit My Favorite Things- Eighth Of Ten Brothers (Set Of Two) im Oktober 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 475.000,00 (€ 41.528,30).
