Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The 10:45Pm Creature (It Was Probably A Raccoon!) by Chinatsu Ban was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2010. The price achieved of HKD 200,000.00 (€ 18,569.17) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 160,000.00 – 240,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Chinatsu Ban - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work My Favorite Things- Eighth Of Ten Brothers (Set Of Two), which sold at auction in October 2009 for HKD 475,000.00 (€ 41,528.30).

Die Arbeit The 10:45Pm Creature (It Was Probably A Raccoon!) von Chinatsu Ban kam im Oktober 2010 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 200.000,00 (€ 18.569,17) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 160.000,00 – 240.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Chinatsu Ban mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit My Favorite Things- Eighth Of Ten Brothers (Set Of Two) beobachtet, die im Oktober 2009 für HKD 475.000,00 (€ 41.528,30) versteigert wurde.
