Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Chin Sung was sold in the Asian Contemporary Art Online: featuring the Chaney Family Collection auction at Christies in New York in November 2017. It changed hands for a price of USD 1,875.00 (€ 1,575.90) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chin Sung achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Light and Colour in October 2015 with an auction result of HKD 177,000.00 (€ 20,678.32).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Chin Sung wurde im November 2017 in der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art Online: featuring the Chaney Family Collection bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 1.875,00 (€ 1.575,90) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chin Sung erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Light and Colour im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 177.000,00 (€ 20.678,32).
