Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2017 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art Online, which included this untitled work by Chin Sung. The price achieved of USD 2,500.00 (€ 2,224.99) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Chin Sung have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Light and Colour in October 2015 with an auction result of HKD 177,000.00 (€ 20,678.32).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2017 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art Online durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Chin Sung zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 2.500,00 (€ 2.224,99) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Chin Sung auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Light and Colour im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 177.000,00 (€ 20.678,32).
