Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April 2018 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern Asian Art, which included the work Colour Geometry by Chin Sung. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 50,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 52,500.00 (€ 5,539.59). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Chin Sung - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Light and Colour, which sold at auction in October 2015 for HKD 177,000.00 (€ 20,678.32).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April 2018 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Colour Geometry von Chin Sung zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 50.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 52.500,00 (€ 5.539,59) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Chin Sung mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Light and Colour beobachtet, die im Oktober 2015 für HKD 177.000,00 (€ 20.678,32) versteigert wurde.
