Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Monkey) by Chimei Hamada was sold in the Christie's Interiors auction at Christies in New York in March 2011. It changed hands for a price of USD 1,125.00 (€ 793.20) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 800.00 – 1,200.00. Other works by Chimei Hamada have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in December 2010 the work A Collection was auctioned for GBP 1,000.00 (€ 1,160.00).
