Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Unknown by Chia Yu Chian was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2014. The price achieved of HKD 87,500.00 (€ 8,275.29) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 70,000.00 – 100,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chia Yu Chian achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work By The River in November 2015 with an auction result of HKD 687,500.00 (€ 83,968.47).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Unknown von Chia Yu Chian kam im Mai 2014 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 87.500,00 (€ 8.275,29) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 70.000,00 – 100.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chia Yu Chian erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit By The River im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 687.500,00 (€ 83.968,47).
