Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Still Life by Chia Yu Chian was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2013. The price achieved of HKD 56,250.00 (€ 5,337.83) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 45,000.00 – 65,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chia Yu Chian achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work By The River in November 2015 with an auction result of HKD 687,500.00 (€ 83,968.47).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Still Life von Chia Yu Chian wurde im Oktober 2013 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 56.250,00 (€ 5.337,83) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 45.000,00 – 65.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chia Yu Chian erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit By The River im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 687.500,00 (€ 83.968,47).
