Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Temple In Penang by Chia Yu Chian was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2018. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 150,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 162,500.00 (€ 18,297.74). Admittedly, works by Chia Yu Chian have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work By The River in November 2015 with an auction result of HKD 687,500.00 (€ 83,968.47).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Temple In Penang von Chia Yu Chian wurde im Oktober 2018 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 150.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 162.500,00 (€ 18.297,74) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Chia Yu Chian auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit By The River im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 687.500,00 (€ 83.968,47).
