The work Tin Mine by Chia Yu Chian was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2010. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 100,000.00 (€ 9,284.58), 67% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Chia Yu Chian have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work By The River in November 2015 with an auction result of HKD 687,500.00 (€ 83,968.47).

Die Arbeit Tin Mine von Chia Yu Chian wurde im Oktober 2010 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 100.000,00 (€ 9.284,58) und damit 67% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Chia Yu Chian auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit By The River im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 687.500,00 (€ 83.968,47).
