In May 2016 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Modern Paintings, which included the work Longevity by Cheng Zhang. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 137,500.00 (€ 15,892.46), 72% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Cheng Zhang; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Squirrels And Grapes sold at auction in November 2013 with the realized price of HKD 275,000.00 (€ 26,073.06).

Im Mai 2016 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Modern Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Longevity von Cheng Zhang zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 137.500,00 (€ 15.892,46) und damit 72% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Cheng Zhang; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Squirrels And Grapes im November 2013 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 275.000,00 (€ 26.073,06).
