Auction result well in line with expectations
In August this year Bonhams in Sydney held the auction Asian Art including Paintings from the Wong Family Collection, which included the work Farm Animals by Cheng Zhang. The price achieved of AUD 5,166.00 (€ 3,082.73) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Cheng Zhang have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Squirrels And Grapes in November 2013 with an auction result of HKD 275,000.00 (€ 26,073.06).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im August diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Sydney die Auktion Asian Art including Paintings from the Wong Family Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit Farm Animals von Cheng Zhang zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 5.166,00 (€ 3.082,73) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Cheng Zhang auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Squirrels And Grapes im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 275.000,00 (€ 26.073,06).
