Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2021 Bonhams in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings, which included the work Bees, Monkeys and Pine Tree by Cheng Zhang. The price achieved of HKD 25,500.00 (€ 2,888.41) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 20,000.00 – 40,000.00. Admittedly, works by Cheng Zhang have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Squirrels And Grapes in November 2013 with an auction result of HKD 275,000.00 (€ 26,073.06).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2021 führte Bonhams in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Bees, Monkeys and Pine Tree von Cheng Zhang zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 25.500,00 (€ 2.888,41) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 20.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Cheng Zhang auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Squirrels And Grapes im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 275.000,00 (€ 26.073,06).
