The work Flowers And Rock by Cheng Zhang was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy I auction at POLY in April 2018. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 47,200.00 (€ 4,980.35), 18% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Cheng Zhang have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Squirrels And Grapes in November 2013 with an auction result of HKD 275,000.00 (€ 26,073.06).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Flowers And Rock von Cheng Zhang wurde im April 2018 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy I bei POLY versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 47.200,00 (€ 4.980,35) und damit 18% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Cheng Zhang auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Squirrels And Grapes im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 275.000,00 (€ 26.073,06).
