Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Goats On The Mountain by Cheng Zhang was auctioned at POLY in Hong Kong in October 2014. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 50,000.00 – 100,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 59,000.00 (€ 6,074.22) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Cheng Zhang have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Squirrels And Grapes in November 2013 with an auction result of HKD 275,000.00 (€ 26,073.06).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Goats On The Mountain von Cheng Zhang kam im Oktober 2014 bei POLY in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 50.000,00 – 100.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 59.000,00 (€ 6.074,22) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Cheng Zhang auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Squirrels And Grapes im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 275.000,00 (€ 26.073,06).
