Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Drifting By The Lotus by Cheng Zhang was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2015. The price achieved of HKD 100,000.00 (€ 11,557.07) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Cheng Zhang - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Squirrels And Grapes, which sold at auction in November 2013 for HKD 275,000.00 (€ 26,073.06).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Drifting By The Lotus von Cheng Zhang wurde im April 2015 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 100.000,00 (€ 11.557,07) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Cheng Zhang mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Squirrels And Grapes beobachtet, die im November 2013 für HKD 275.000,00 (€ 26.073,06) versteigert wurde.
