In September 2016 Sothebys in New York held the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy, which included the work Snow Scene by Cheng Sui. The »bidding war« ended at USD 10,000.00 (€ 8,898.38), 67% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Cheng Sui; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot River Landscape sold at auction in November 2007 with the realized price of GBP 12,500.00 (€ 17,503.23).

Im September 2016 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Snow Scene von Cheng Sui zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 10.000,00 (€ 8.898,38) und damit 67% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Cheng Sui; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit River Landscape im November 2007 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 12.500,00 (€ 17.503,23).
