A top price for Cheng Sui - as previously expected
The work River Landscape by Cheng Sui was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2007. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 10,000.00 – 20,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 12,500.00 (€ 17,503.23) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, River Landscape is the most expensive artwork by Cheng Sui that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit River Landscape von Cheng Sui kam im November 2007 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 12.500,00 (€ 17.503,23) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist River Landscape das teuerste Kunstwerk von Cheng Sui, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
