Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Forest Village by Cheng Sui was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2018. The price achieved of HKD 47,500.00 (€ 5,012.01) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Cheng Sui - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work River Landscape, which sold at auction in November 2007 for GBP 12,500.00 (€ 17,503.23).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Forest Village von Cheng Sui kam im April 2018 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 47.500,00 (€ 5.012,01) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Cheng Sui mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit River Landscape beobachtet, die im November 2007 für GBP 12.500,00 (€ 17.503,23) versteigert wurde.
