Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Landscape After Wang Meng by Cheng Sui was sold in the Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction at China Guardian in Hong Kong in October 2017. The price achieved of HKD 59,000.00 (€ 6,493.65) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 50,000.00 – 80,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Cheng Sui - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work River Landscape, which sold at auction in November 2007 for GBP 12,500.00 (€ 17,503.23).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Landscape After Wang Meng von Cheng Sui wurde im Oktober 2017 in der Auktion Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy bei China Guardian in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 59.000,00 (€ 6.493,65) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 50.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Cheng Sui mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit River Landscape beobachtet, die im November 2007 für GBP 12.500,00 (€ 17.503,23) versteigert wurde.
