Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Landscape With Figures by Cheng Jiasui was sold in the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April last year. The price achieved of HKD 176,400 (€ 18,886) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been given by the auction house as HKD 150,000 - 250,000. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cheng Jiasui achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work in April 2011 with an auction result of HKD 3,380,000 (€ 293,735).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Landscape With Figures von Cheng Jiasui wurde im April letzten Jahres in der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 176.400 (€ 18.886) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 150.000 – 250.000 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cheng Jiasui erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit im April 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.380.000 (€ 293.735).
