Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Landscape After Ni Zan by Cheng Jiasui was sold in the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April last year. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 220,000 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 226,800 (€ 24,282). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cheng Jiasui achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work in April 2011 with an auction result of HKD 3,380,000 (€ 293,735).
