Auction result well in line with expectations
In November last year Bonhams in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings, which included the work Peaches and Two Sparrows by Chen Zhifo. The price achieved of HKD 70,125.00 (€ 8,701.94) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 60,000.00 – 100,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chen Zhifo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Eagle on White Prunus in May 2013 with an auction result of HKD 1,950,000.00 (€ 193,378.50).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Peaches and Two Sparrows von Chen Zhifo zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 70.125,00 (€ 8.701,94) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 60.000,00 – 100.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chen Zhifo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Eagle on White Prunus im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.950.000,00 (€ 193.378,50).
