Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Chen Zhifo achieved an unexpectedly high price at China Guardian in Hong Kong in April 2018. In the Important Collections of Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy from Asia auction, the work Longevity sold for HKD 885,000.00 (€ 93,381.65) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 350,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Chen Zhifo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Eagle on White Prunus, which sold at auction in May 2013 for HKD 1,950,000.00 (€ 193,378.50).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Chen Zhifo erzielte im April 2018 bei China Guardian in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Important Collections of Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy from Asia wurde die Arbeit Longevity für HKD 885.000,00 (€ 93.381,65) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 350.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Chen Zhifo mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Eagle on White Prunus beobachtet, die im Mai 2013 für HKD 1.950.000,00 (€ 193.378,50) versteigert wurde.
