Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Chen Zhifo achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2018. In the Fine Chinese Paintings auction, the work Bird In The Snow sold for HKD 200,000.00 (€ 21,103.20) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 90,000.00. Admittedly, works by Chen Zhifo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Eagle on White Prunus in May 2013 with an auction result of HKD 1,950,000.00 (€ 193,378.50).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Chen Zhifo erzielte im April 2018 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings wurde die Arbeit Bird In The Snow für HKD 200.000,00 (€ 21.103,20) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 90.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Chen Zhifo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Eagle on White Prunus im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.950.000,00 (€ 193.378,50).
