Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Objets séparés / Traces mêlées ( Separated Objects / Combined Traces) by Chen Zhen was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 50,000.00 – 8,000,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 74,500.00 (€ 89,424.31) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Chen Zhen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Opening Of A Closed Center in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 576,000.00 (€ 428,157.29).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Objets séparés / Traces mêlées ( Separated Objects / Combined Traces) von Chen Zhen kam im Juni 2016 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 50.000,00 – 8.000.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 74.500,00 (€ 89.424,31) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Chen Zhen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Opening Of A Closed Center im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 576.000,00 (€ 428.157,29).
