Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2016 Christies in New York held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art Afternoon Sale, which included the work Chen Zhen (1955-2000) by Chen Zhen. It changed hands for a price of USD 199,500.00 (€ 188,598.98) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 150,000.00 – 200,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Chen Zhen - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Opening Of A Closed Center, which sold at auction in May 2007 for USD 576,000.00 (€ 428,157.29).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2016 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art Afternoon Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Chen Zhen (1955-2000) von Chen Zhen zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 199.500,00 (€ 188.598,98) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 150.000,00 – 200.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Chen Zhen mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Opening Of A Closed Center beobachtet, die im Mai 2007 für USD 576.000,00 (€ 428.157,29) versteigert wurde.
