Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Running Script Calligraphy by Chen Yuansu was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in May last year. It changed hands for a price of HKD 52,920.00 (€ 6,282.74) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 35,000.00 – 55,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chen Yuansu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Poems In Cursive Script in October 2017 with an auction result of HKD 1,375,000.00 (€ 151,334.99).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Running Script Calligraphy von Chen Yuansu kam im Mai letzten Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 52.920,00 (€ 6.282,74) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 35.000,00 – 55.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chen Yuansu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Poems In Cursive Script im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.375.000,00 (€ 151.334,99).
