Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2014 Sothebys in New York held the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy, which included the work Poem In Running Script by Chen Yuansu. The price achieved of USD 9,375.00 (€ 7,423.98) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 10,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chen Yuansu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Poems In Cursive Script in October 2017 with an auction result of HKD 1,375,000.00 (€ 151,334.99).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2014 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Poem In Running Script von Chen Yuansu zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 9.375,00 (€ 7.423,98) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chen Yuansu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Poems In Cursive Script im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.375.000,00 (€ 151.334,99).
