This artwork by Chen Yuansu achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in September 2014. In the Fine Chinese Paintings auction, the work Calligraphy In Running Script sold for USD 11,875.00 (€ 9,403.71) - well above the upper estimate of USD 4,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chen Yuansu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Poems In Cursive Script in October 2017 with an auction result of HKD 1,375,000.00 (€ 151,334.99).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Chen Yuansu erzielte im September 2014 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings wurde die Arbeit Calligraphy In Running Script für USD 11.875,00 (€ 9.403,71) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 4.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chen Yuansu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Poems In Cursive Script im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.375.000,00 (€ 151.334,99).
