The work Orchid by Chen Yuansu was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2019. It achieved a price of HKD 118,750.00 (€ 13,590.91), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 48%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chen Yuansu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Poems In Cursive Script in October 2017 with an auction result of HKD 1,375,000.00 (€ 151,334.99).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 48 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Orchid von Chen Yuansu kam im Mai 2019 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 118.750,00 (€ 13.590,91) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 48%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chen Yuansu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Poems In Cursive Script im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.375.000,00 (€ 151.334,99).
