Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Day'S End by Chen Yiming was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in March 2007. The price achieved of USD 12,000.00 (€ 8,972.63) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chen Yiming achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Canary in June 2014 with an auction result of CNY 1,770,000.00 (€ 208,417.82).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Day'S End von Chen Yiming kam im März 2007 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 12.000,00 (€ 8.972,63) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chen Yiming erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Canary im Juni 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CNY 1.770.000,00 (€ 208.417,82).
