Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Beside the River by Chen Yiming was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2008. The price achieved of HKD 125,000.00 (€ 10,290.81) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chen Yiming achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Canary in June 2014 with an auction result of CNY 1,770,000.00 (€ 208,417.82).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Beside the River von Chen Yiming kam im Mai 2008 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 125.000,00 (€ 10.290,81) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chen Yiming erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Canary im Juni 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CNY 1.770.000,00 (€ 208.417,82).
