Auction result misses estimated price range
In April 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work Portrait Of Mrs. Kathleen Field by Chen Yifei for HKD 750,000.00 (€ 85,371.84). This price was achieved in the auction Modern Art at Sothebys in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 800,000.00 – 1,200,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chen Yifei achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Beauties on Promenade in May 2018 with an auction result of HKD 83,350,000.00 (€ 9,106,362.47).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im April 2019 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Portrait Of Mrs. Kathleen Field von Chen Yifei für HKD 750.000,00 (€ 85.371,84) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Modern Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 800.000,00 – 1.200.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chen Yifei erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Beauties on Promenade im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 83.350.000,00 (€ 9.106.362,47).
