In May 2019 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art (Afternoon Session), which included the work Day’S End (Suzhou) by Chen Yifei. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 2,500,000.00 (€ 286,124.32), 39% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chen Yifei achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Beauties on Promenade in May 2018 with an auction result of HKD 83,350,000.00 (€ 9,106,362.47).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 39 % übertroffen
Im Mai 2019 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art (Afternoon Session) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Day’S End (Suzhou) von Chen Yifei zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 2.500.000,00 (€ 286.124,32) und damit 39% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chen Yifei erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Beauties on Promenade im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 83.350.000,00 (€ 9.106.362,47).
