Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Dream Of The Nymph by Chen Xiongli was sold in the FINE MODERN AND CONTEMPORARY CHINESE PAINTINGS auction at Christies in Hong Kong in April 2004. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 53,775.00 (€ 3,490.61) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Chen Xiongli have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in April 2004 the work Deer Drinking Water was auctioned for HKD 71,700.00 (€ 4,654.15).

Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 53.775,00 (€ 3.490,61) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
