A top price for Chen Xiongli - as previously expected
The work Deer Drinking Water by Chen Xiongli was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in April 2004. The price achieved of HKD 71,700.00 (€ 4,654.15) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Deer Drinking Water is the most expensive artwork by Chen Xiongli that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Die Arbeit Deer Drinking Water von Chen Xiongli kam im April 2004 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 71.700,00 (€ 4.654,15) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Deer Drinking Water das teuerste Kunstwerk von Chen Xiongli, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
