Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Chen Xiongli could be acquired at Christies in Hong Kong in October 2004 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Fine Modern and Contemporary Chinese Paintings auction, the work Landscape changed hands for HKD 38,240.00 (€ 3,852.20) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Other works by Chen Xiongli have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in April 2004 by the work Deer Drinking Water at HKD 71,700.00 (€ 4,654.15).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Chen Xiongli konnte im Oktober 2004 bei Christies in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Fine Modern and Contemporary Chinese Paintings wechselte die Arbeit Landscape für HKD 38.240,00 (€ 3.852,20) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Chen Xiongli wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im April 2004 die Arbeit Deer Drinking Water mit HKD 71.700,00 (€ 4.654,15).
