This artwork by Chen Xianzhang achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2007. In the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Poem in Cursive Script Calligraphy sold for HKD 540,000.00 (€ 51,419.01) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 200,000.00. Admittedly, works by Chen Xianzhang have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Calligraphy in Cursive Script in June 2015 with an auction result of HKD 2,440,000.00 (€ 282,194.73).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Chen Xianzhang erzielte im Mai 2007 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Poem in Cursive Script Calligraphy für HKD 540.000,00 (€ 51.419,01) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 200.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Chen Xianzhang auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Calligraphy in Cursive Script im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.440.000,00 (€ 282.194,73).
