Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2019 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Calligraphy in Running Script by Chen Xianzhang. The price achieved of HKD 100,000.00 (€ 11,598.15) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chen Xianzhang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy in Cursive Script in June 2015 with an auction result of HKD 2,440,000.00 (€ 282,194.73).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2019 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Calligraphy in Running Script von Chen Xianzhang zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 100.000,00 (€ 11.598,15) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chen Xianzhang erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy in Cursive Script im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.440.000,00 (€ 282.194,73).
