Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2021 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings, which included the work Calligraphy in Cursive Script by Chen Xianzhang. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 80,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 81,900.00 (€ 9,110.24). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chen Xianzhang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy in Cursive Script in June 2015 with an auction result of HKD 2,440,000.00 (€ 282,194.73).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober 2021 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Calligraphy in Cursive Script von Chen Xianzhang zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 80.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 81.900,00 (€ 9.110,24) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chen Xianzhang erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy in Cursive Script im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.440.000,00 (€ 282.194,73).
