It achieved a price of HKD 187,500.00 (€ 21,430.97), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 56%. Admittedly, works by Chen Shuren have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Snowscape in October 2014 with an auction result of HKD 1,480,000.00 (€ 152,370.31).

Die Arbeit Fishing Boat In The Moonlight von Chen Shuren kam im Oktober 2019 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 187.500,00 (€ 21.430,97) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 56%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Chen Shuren auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Snowscape im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.480.000,00 (€ 152.370,31).
