Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Fish by Chen Jialing was sold in the Modern Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2019. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 50,000.00 – 100,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 60,000.00 (€ 6,857.91) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Chen Jialing have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Flowers And Birds (Album Of Twelve Works) in December 2015 with an auction result of CNY 330,400.00 (€ 46,978.32).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Fish von Chen Jialing wurde im Oktober 2019 in der Auktion Modern Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 50.000,00 – 100.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 60.000,00 (€ 6.857,91) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Chen Jialing auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Flowers And Birds (Album Of Twelve Works) im Dezember 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CNY 330.400,00 (€ 46.978,32).
