In November 2018 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online, which included the work Bird and Lotus by Chen Jialing. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 35,000.00 (€ 3,950.37), 40% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chen Jialing achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Flowers And Birds (Album Of Twelve Works) in December 2015 with an auction result of CNY 330,400.00 (€ 46,978.32).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 40 % übertroffen
Im November 2018 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Bird and Lotus von Chen Jialing zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 35.000,00 (€ 3.950,37) und damit 40% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chen Jialing erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Flowers And Birds (Album Of Twelve Works) im Dezember 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CNY 330.400,00 (€ 46.978,32).
