Sold at the lower estimate price
In October 2017 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings, which included the work Calligraphy Couplet In Xingshu by Chen Dingshan. The result of HKD 15,000.00 (€ 1,650.93) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chen Dingshan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Snowscape in the Style of Ju Ran in December this year with an auction result of HKD 151,200.00 (€ 17,495.57).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Oktober 2017 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Xingshu von Chen Dingshan zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 15.000,00 (€ 1.650,93) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 15.000,00 – 25.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chen Dingshan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Snowscape in the Style of Ju Ran im Dezember diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 151.200,00 (€ 17.495,57).
