Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2021 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Dawn of Spring: Chinese Paintings Online, which included the work Boating In Spring by Chen Dingshan. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 10,000.00 – 20,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 12,500.00 (€ 1,332.38) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chen Dingshan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Snowscape in the Style of Ju Ran in December this year with an auction result of HKD 151,200.00 (€ 17,495.57).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar 2021 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Dawn of Spring: Chinese Paintings Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Boating In Spring von Chen Dingshan zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 10.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 12.500,00 (€ 1.332,38) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chen Dingshan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Snowscape in the Style of Ju Ran im Dezember diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 151.200,00 (€ 17.495,57).
