This artwork by Chen Chun achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2017. In the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Seven-Character Poems in Running-Cursive Script sold for HKD 8,260,000.00 (€ 889,314.17) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 3,000,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Chen Chun - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Flowers and Calligraphy, which sold at auction in June this year for HKD 28,810,000.00 (€ 3,366,443.22).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Chen Chun erzielte im November 2017 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Seven-Character Poems in Running-Cursive Script für HKD 8.260.000,00 (€ 889.314,17) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 3.000.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Chen Chun mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Flowers and Calligraphy beobachtet, die im Juni diesen Jahres für HKD 28.810.000,00 (€ 3.366.443,22) versteigert wurde.
